The Power of a WHOA Mindset
With over 30 years in primary and elementary education, including 20 years as a classroom teacher and a Master’s in Comparative Education, I am passionate about how children learn and grow. With a strong focus on the Science of Learning and hands-on science education, we create workshops and conversation cards that spark curiosity, confidence, and connection. Backed by experience and tested by teachers, parents, and kids, our resources make it easy—and fun—for families and classrooms to slow down, think deeply, and build the critical skills children need for the future.

A Little About Kim
Working with children has always been my passion—whether as a babysitter, swim instructor, camp leader, writer for children’s discovery magazines, in children’s hospitals, or as a teacher. Over the years, I’ve noticed the growing pressures of academics, technology, and now AI, and how they can impact kids’ confidence to think for themselves. Too often, children accept what they see or are told without pausing to question or reflect.
As a parent and educator, I began to look more deeply at how we can nurture curiosity, creativity, and independent thought. That’s why I created Drop Thought Kids—to equip children with the tools to question, create, and connect. Every child deserves a space to slow down, think deeply, and grow with confidence. Our WHOA Mindset does just that—encouraging kids to wonder, harness skills, open up to new perspectives, and arrive at creative solutions.
